Maya's Story
(Maya here) The project began in 2017 in France, where I encountered the profound beauty of a simple life around the table. I was attending a school for missionaries in a provincial town in the Cevenne mountains. From there, our team of eight people from around the world left to see God's kingdom at work in the nations. It was out among diverse cultures where I witnessed the profound simplicity of Jesus' love for every tribe and every tongue. We hosted one special event called "Dinner With A Stranger" in Larknaka, Cyprus. Here refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Congo, and Somalia all sat together at the table with Europeans and Americans to share a meal. Religious, cultural, and spiritual divides were set aside for one evening. God was there. This revelation has guided my life's purpose to continue to foster similar identity building connections.

What is Crafted
Crafted emerged from a profound understanding that each person is crafted with intention and purpose. Maya is a neighborhood minister currently working on obtaining her master's certification in Spiritual formation at Denver Seminary. As an artist, storyteller, world traveler, and soul care counselor, Maya hopes to continue working with the church at home and abroad. She believes that our culture has encouraged burnout. Now more than ever, communities need to learn the craft of the slow, methodical artisan heart coming alive in following Jesus.
Maya likes to curate spaces of home, hospitality, and networking where people, who are looking to be spiritually formed, can come together to restore a rhythmic life. This is accomplished through access to one-on-one soul care and corporate gatherings.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
(Eph. 2:10)
