Painted Pumpkins & Poems
The Practice of Paying Attention
Join us on Saturday morning October 5th at 10:30am as we gather to reflect on the beauty of fall and paint a mini pumpkin grown in Kari’s very own garden.
Painted Pumpkins & Poems is a way to connect with friends and reflect on the changing season. In grief or in joy, poets have walked the road of paying attention as seasons shift. They can teach us how to slow down and notice the subtleties of the beauty around us. As the green summer fades to winter, may you remember where you are and the glory of where you are going. My prayer is that we walk away noticing something new about fall and (maybe) even a little treasure of a painted pumpkin.
