What is Restoration Week?
Come away to the mountains of Italy for a week of renewal and restored vision.
Restoration Week is a set-apart time to listen for the Holy Spirit at work in your life. Through spiritual practices such as prayer, reflection, and shared meals, we will create space to quiet the noise and become more attentive.
Together, we will enjoy the beauty of the outdoors— exploring the historic town of Arco, and taking day trips into the breathtaking Dolomites for hiking and exploration.
Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to visit a local winery, connect with the people and culture of Italy, and reflect more deeply on your own life and story.

When:
Fall of 2026: September 14-20
Cost:
$900 – includes food, housing, transportation after arrival, and most activities.
$800 – Book by the 15th of May
Overall Flow
- Morning: Teaching, reflection, activity
- Afternoon: Exploration, rest, optional hikes
- Evening: Community meals, free time
- Restoration in the mountain retreat house. Includes outdoor activities, silence & solitude, teachings on spiritual practices, and community meal times. An on-site chef will be provided.
- Experiential in Arco and Trentino exploring the history of the city, prayer over the global church and the people of Italy with a to visit a winery.
Logistics
Use this time for both spiritual growth and exploration of the mountains of Italy. Flights are not included in the cost. All passengers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the retreat location for arrival and departure. A van can be reserved for pick-up/drop-off at the train station at the nearby city of Rovereto. Beds at the bungalow consist of separated twins and shared queens. Be prepared to share a gender-specific room.
Who
Someone, male or female who is looking to be spiritually formed, who is interested in meeting new friends, who can be open to learning about the culture, and exploring the outdoors. During this retreat, we will engage in practices such as lectio divina (sacred scripture reading) creating space to quiet the mind and open the heart. Together, we will cultivate a posture of attentiveness—becoming more receptive to Jesus, to one another, and to the beauty of the world He created.
The Team
Maya Goodyear
Maya is a trained soul-care practitioner currently pursuing a Master’s in Spiritual Formation at Denver Seminary. She is passionate about embodied spirituality—faith lived out in community and woven into everyday life. Maya delights in home, hospitality, beauty, and the art of storytelling. As a Bible teacher, she has spent years guiding others in understanding and engaging Scripture. She has also led teams around the globe in mission work, cultivating spaces for spiritual growth, cross-cultural connection, and meaningful service.
Johan Knol
Johan is a Dutch missionary based in Arco, Italy, where he lives with his wife and two children. He is passionate about building bridges across cultures, histories, and stories, helping people find connection and shared meaning in diverse spaces. Johan has spent the past several years in Italy with Youth With A Mission as a leader and has come to call Arco home. He delights in the outdoors and in experiencing God’s creation firsthand, often integrating these settings into his teaching and spiritual practices.
